The Vertical Energetic Axis: A Sojourn into Your Invisible Architecture
(Part 2 of 8 in the "Living a Higher Octave" Series)
There is a pathway of inner coherence, a subtle current within you—running vertically from the brain to the heart to the gut—which can easily be overlooked. And yet, this living strand carries the signature of your unique tone (the subtle signal you emit) and opens profound accessibility to the field. In ancient texts in India, it is described as an energetic alignment. Many of us today find it as the quiet place we return to when the world gets loud. So what is it?
Whether you’re beginning to tune inward or already attuned to the radiance of coherence, your Vertical Energetic Axis is not something to create or achieve. It’s something to notice—then gently inhabit. Let me share why.
A Radiant Axis Vibrating Within
This Vertical Energetic Axis is alive within you—not theoretical, nor imaginary. It’s a radiant channel through which your most coherent presence can flow into every dimension of your life.
I often refer to this vertical current as a column of stillness—a place where subtle energies converge, not in action, but in pure, radiant presence. Rather than a chakra ladder, a spiritual hierarchy, or a mystical tether you need to climb, it can be experienced as a living, energetic channel of harmonic alignment—the coherent strand through which breath and form converge into tone, the signal we emit to the field. If you missed the post about tone, you can find it here.
Some see it as a thread to Essence, subtly nested in the body, where awareness returns home and clarity arises without force.
What you call it matters less than how you feel it.
When you’re tuned to this vertical axis, your presence doesn’t just calm a room—it restructures it energetically. This is not mystical performance. It is tone integrity that can allow you to positively influence the energy field in and around you. When you are in this vertical alignment, you can become aware of yourself as Essence.
As I describe these three energy centers, they aren’t just mythic symbols—they are maps of the living current that shape entire worldviews.
In yogic tradition, the sushumna is the central nadi where energy rises through breath and intention, guiding practitioners toward spiritual realization through the harmonization of opposites.
In Ancient Egypt, the djed pillar represented stability and vitality, often associated with the spine of Osiris, a symbolic channel of resurrection and inner strength.
In shamanic cosmologies, the axis mundi links sky, earth, and underworld—a tree, mountain, or staff through which wisdom travels and healing takes place.
In Kabbalistic mysticism, the Tree of Life is a living diagram of divine flow—from infinite light above to embodied manifestation below—offering a map for alignment of self with Source.
Across these lineages, the vertical axis is not a concept. It’s a pathway of communion with the field—a subtle field architecture that allows for coherence with all-that-is to come to the forefront (especially when we put our attention on it). Let’s break this down into why this matters for us in daily life.
Presence Is Field Coherence
Stillness is inherent in this energetic axis. And stillness, in this context, is not the absence of motion. It is total presence without effort.
In quantum field dynamics, stillness emerges at the zero-point—the point of convergence between counter-spinning vortices of potential. This is not a void, but a generative portal. A boundary condition where energy, matter, and form arise.
Presence is your felt coherence with that point. And when you’re present in this way,
You don’t perform frequency… You radiate it.
This axis is:
The field alignment between Essence and self, through the breath and spinal area.
A resonant current that tunes your awareness, not upward but inward and through.
A carrier wave for your soul’s unique signal, your tone, stabilizing both intuition and embodiment.
You don’t descend or ascend through it. You become coherent within it. Take a second and let that sink in.
How It Feels
You feel centered, with stillness pervading your awareness.
You no longer seek validation—you are flowing unconditionally through the field.
Words carry weight when breath and tone are aligned.
Emotional energy is metabolized in real time, rather than being stored.
This axis is not exclusive to advanced practitioners. It is innate to anyone listening deeply enough to trust their stillness.
I refer to the heart-brain-gut axis as a living architecture of perception, not speaking in metaphor—but literally—this vertical axis is the neuro-biological structure that perceives, filters, and responds to the field in real time.
In the area of quantum field science I study, at the subtle level, we are each a spinning vortex in a plasma-like soup. All around us are waves of energy and as the waves become more coherent, a boundary condition forms to create matter (there’s a whole lot of math and further explanation we can do later about that. But that’s my nutshell explanation). My point is that each swirling vortex is linked at a point of convergence with its counter-spinning vortex. Their convergence point is called the Zero Point—a place of equilibrium between potential and form. This convergence is the still point of our being. It is more potential than matter, yet within it lives the power to structure reality.
Your subtle Vertical Axis makes this convergence tangible. It is your internal waveguide—through which your Essence flows into embodiment. And when aligned with it, you become a coherent transmitter.
Becoming the Signal
As your coherence with the field deepens, something subtle shifts:
Stillness begins to communicate.
This isn’t passive. It’s participatory stillness. It’s allowing your lived frequency to attune your environment—not by effort alone, but simply by presence. This is not something we are taught as children nor is it reinforced by culture.
Yet when you live from a higher octave, synchronicities accelerate, relationships shift, and the invisible becomes palpable. It feels real.
In the endless process of becoming, you don’t become “higher frequency.” You release what was muting your natural tone, thus allowing higher frequency—faster spinning quantum aspects of yourself—to become part of your daily experience.
Your very presence—stabilized in the vertical presence axis, attuned across brain, heart, and gut—becomes the signal.
You don’t have to speak your truth all the time… because you transmit it.
You no longer feel responsible to “fix the world”… because you radiate coherence—and it ripples outward.
This is not spiritual performance—it is subtle stewardship of tone.
It’s your daily resonance—lived quietly, consistently, and in alignment with your inner truth.
And this changes everything.
Together, these centers form your living architecture of perception.
And when attuned together in presence, they become an axis of harmonic intelligence through which you embody truth—not just speak it.
Unpacking the Vertical Energetic Axis
Let’s look more closely at the three harmonic centers within this Vertical Presence Axis—each one is a tuning fork for a different kind of intelligence. Together, these centers form your living architecture of perception.
And when attuned together in presence, they become an axis of harmonic intelligence through which you embody truth—not just speak it.
The Brain processes patterns and evaluates structure: What actions will we take?
The Heart detects emotional tone and relational truth. What aligns and what contracts?
The Gut, also known as Hara in Eastern culture, reads energetic safety, timing, and field-level shifts. It asks: What just entered the field?
Today, we will begin our deeper exploration at the top of the axis
The Brain
There are foundational questions we can ask about the brain—ancient and emerging, spiritual and scientific—and they’re exactly the kind of questions we need to be asking:
What Came First—the Brain or Consciousness?
We’ve been taught to believe that consciousness is something the brain produces—like heat from a machine or light from a bulb.
But what if it’s the other way around?
What if the brain is not the source, but the receiver—a tuning device shaped to localize a much vaster field of consciousness? Like a radio picking up frequencies, or a lens focusing light.
More and more researchers in neuroscience, quantum physics, and transpersonal psychology are exploring the idea that consciousness is fundamental—not a byproduct of biology, but the very fabric from which biology arises.
This aligns with ancient teachings across the world—that consciousness is the ground of being, the essence of all things, and that form arises within it, not separate from it.
So when we ask, what came first—the answer is: Consciousness.
The brain is what allows it to express itself in this particular dimension, in this particular way.
What Is Intelligence?
Intelligence is often confused with knowledge or mental quickness. But true intelligence—what many indigenous traditions, mystics, and leading-edge scientists refer to—is much more than intellect.
Intelligence is the capacity to relate.
In a broader context, intelligence is related to perceiving patterns and adapting to circumstances we encounter. It’s the ability to respond creatively to change. And it’s the dance between awareness and form—between inner sensing and outer expression.
There are many forms of intelligence:
Emotional intelligence
Somatic intelligence
Ecological intelligence
Intuitive intelligence
Harmonic intelligence (as we’ve begun exploring)
But all forms of intelligence emerge from consciousness—from the knowing field that exists before language, before thought, before measurement.
Consciousness is the ocean. You could. think of intelligence as the way it waves.
A Living Universe, Waking Up
If we start from the premise that consciousness is primary, then everything changes
We’re no longer isolated beings thinking our way through a fixed, material universe. We are conscious expressions of a vast living intelligence—woven into the same field that breathes stars into being from the zero point energy of a spiraling vortex. This intelligent force of nature gathers energy to create galaxies, grow trees, and writes poetry through our hands.
Where does consciousness come from?
You could say:
It doesn’t come from anywhere. It is the where.
It’s not inside us—we are inside it.
And when we become still, coherent, and attuned…
We begin to hear its voice, moving through everything.
Daily Resonance Anchor: The Breath-Back Transmission
Sit quietly. Feel your breath descend along your subtle, yet tangible, vertical axis—brain to heart to gut.
As you exhale, imagine your tone transmitting gently in all directions.
Don’t push. Just offer resonance with the field.
Observe: What softens in the field when you do this?
Journal Prompt: Where Am I Becoming the Signal?
Recall a recent moment where the vertical axis, a column of pure stillness, was aligned and you decided to shift into calm, clarity, and equanimity rather than joining in a conflict—thus calming or uplifting a space. This could have happened while engaging in a social media post or a small gathering. What did you feel?
Reflect: Was I trying to create an effect—or simply being in my alignment?
What emotional triggers in you were most likely to arise to break the coherence and become tempted to “prove” or “explain” your frequency state or justify how you were responding?
Ask: What might happen if I just stay in tone—without needing permission or validation?
Coming Next
This post begins our 3-part exploration of the exquisitely designed Vertical Energetic Axis—your central channel of inner alignment and harmonic intelligence.
In upcoming posts, we’ll dive more deeply into:
- The Heart as a field-sensing organ of truth
- The Belly as your instinctive interface with quantum timing
This is all part of the Living a Higher Octave series—a journey toward embodied presence, subtle coherence, and relational resonance with the living energy field in a and around us.
Until then, return to your Vertical Energetic Axis often and let it trigger inherent memory of who you are at your core… notice how the axis is already with you. Not like a learned technique or touching base with a physical structure. It’s simply a return to coherence, quiet power, and to your unique tone (the signal you emit to the field.
You don’t need to become more. Just allow for more coherence with the field to rise naturally.
See you soon,
P.S. For Parents or for Homeschooling: “The Magic Rope” Game can be a lot of fun.
Purpose: Help children (ages 5–12) to feel their inner vertical axis intuitively.
How to Play:
Imagine a glowing rope running through the body—from head to belly. It’s soft, stretchy, and sparkly.
Breathe along the rope:
Inhale and let the glow travel down.
Exhale and feel it gently return upward.
Say together:
“I have a light inside me. It helps me feel calm, brave, and kind.”
Invite your child to draw their “magic rope” or stand quietly and imagine it glowing as they breathe.
There is also a coloring book for you below:
This play-based anchor helps children connect with their subtle architecture—without needing language to explain it.
P.P.S. Did you miss the first post in this series?
The foundational post in this series explored your tone—the frequency you radiate into the field. If you missed it, Click Here:
Woah. How did you make or find that first image of the sparky fluid column of light? I see it says GROK in bottom right. Did you ask it to make that for you? Or found it somehow? That is exactly how the column of light looks that I work with every day on clients. I don’t see the chakras as discs or balls like exactly like that, but the column is very realistic! I’d love to learn more about how that image was made!
