How Your Unique "Energy Signal" Affects the Entire Universe (Part 1 of 8 in the "Living a Higher Octave" Series)
An Invitation and Introduction to: "Living a Higher Octave Series"
Why “Living a Higher Octave” Series Matters Now
We live in a time of exquisite overstimulation—where insights and information are displayed everywhere in an endless mosaic of shapes, colors, and forms. Yet finding inner resonance—calmness and stillness—can feel far away.
This series, Living a Higher Octave, is here to tune you back to an essential signal already within you—to help you feel the quiet vibration of being in tune with the infinite energy field, where the miraculous is generated endlessly, and infinite possibilities are always present.
There’s no ladder to climb—only a tone to sense. And rather than striving, you can just soften into coherence with all-that-is.
You will be invited to remember who you are—and always have been—at the most profound levels of reality. This is simplicity wrapped in profundity, and wonder intwined with the joy of being human in a pivotal moment in history.
We will explore harmonics as your tone—a coherent signal to the field that others feel when your very presence carries clarity, steadiness, and warmth. Think of people who bring calm into a room without trying: Eckhart Tolle, grounded in the power of presence, Keanu Reeves, with his mellow kindness, and Carl Sagan, whose voice scintillated with quiet assurance as he described the vast cosmos and its ineffable mysteries.
In physics, everything vibrates. Even at rest, every atom in your body is sending out a pattern of movement (frequency) into the field. Beyond vibration and frequency lies something more personal: your tone. It’s the unique “flavor” of your presence—born from your emotions, thoughts, and intentions—that travels through the universe like a fingerprint made of light and sound.
In classical physics, tone is usually linked to sound—a perceptible frequency. But in quantum field dynamics, tone is more like the voice of an energy pattern. In music, it’s the quality of a note; in the field, it’s the signature of your being—the way the universe feels you.
I chose the word tone for this series because it relates to the idea that quantum fields, like electromagnetic fields, oscillate with distinct characteristics, akin to musical tones. This echoes the Pythagorean view of the universe’s structure as harmonious—where mathematics and music are threads of the same cosmic fabric.
As we step into this conversation about the higher octaves of ourselves, imagine this: you have a personal, unique frequency signature—a total pattern of vibrational information you emit, consciously and unconsciously. It includes your emotional states, thought patterns, physiological rhythms, and subtle energy field resonances. It’s the whole spectrum of your being, broadcast into the energy field.
And within that spectrum, there is something more refined—your tone. The felt essence of your signature when it’s harmonized. Tone is the quality of your resonance with the energy field in and around you when you are in pristine alignment with it.
Feeling into your harmonized tone can change everything. Even in the midst of life’s ups and downs, highs and lows, and contrasts, there can be a steady ember of calm inside you. When your tone is coherent, there’s a feeling of being rooted in integrity, clarity, and truth. A quiet confidence arises. The qualities of calmness, equanimity, and stillness are no longer concepts—they are like they are riding on every exhale.
For a visceral sense of tone, imagine yourself as a radio station. You are always broadcasting—not just through words or actions, but through the invisible signal of your very presence. Some days, your station vibrate with clarity; other days, the signal is fuzzy. This series is about learning to tune your inner station so your signal—your tone—moves through the universe with coherence and beauty.
You’ll discover what it means to live from Essence—not as an identity or ego, but as the stillness before tone. And you will experience how Essence, the underlying Reality, is not a destination, but the spaciousness in which all frequencies arise.
If you are drawn to this series, you may already sense it: your life is not meant to simply reflect the world. It is meant to tune it—subtly, beautifully—into greater harmony. You have more agency over your inner and outer worlds than you may have realized.
Although there may be new terms used here—like tone, harmonic, frequency—but this series is not about collecting words. It is about remembering your wholeness and perfection. Your unique tone, when coherent, becomes the sublime song you thought you’d forgotten… yet it was always there, on the tip of your tongue. Singing it into existence can feel like the most buoyant ride through the cosmos—more exhilarating than a jaunt on the Starship Enterprise. Captain Kirk would likely agree.
We will embark together—no steps to memorize, no pressure to perform—just resonance. There will be awareness. There will be stillness. The urgency can drop away, replaced by a deep exhale. And with a fresh breath, the harmonious tone within you will rise, as it always has, waiting to be recognized.
It’s as if we are all part of one great song. And when we play in tune, the universe listens with rapt attention.
Core themes are embedded in my novels and posts here on Substack
human evolution (personal and collective)
unicity (the condition of being unified with all-that-is)
harmonic attunement (to the underlying fabric of Reality)
From these areas of study and practice, I entered more consciously into the fascinating and awe-inspiring unseen world in and around me.
Along my path, I’ve come to respect the work of brilliant people who study and illuminate the subtle patterns of the field theory in quantum physics. For example, Nassim Haramein and Marshall Lefferts bring to the table new ways to view our world… starting with endless scales of the quantum, unseen aspects of Reality while also scaling up into enormous, complex systems like infinite universes. This broad view of Reality opened my mind and heart to greater possibilities for a human life. I did not discard my studies of consciousness, mysticism, or any form of connection to the Divine—yet my path progressed endlessly deeper and wider as I studied and practiced attuning to my coherent tone.
I can assure you that even though the terms I am using may seem new, they are intrinsically natural to our species and have felt like a captivating signal from deep within me to a place that feels like home. I welcome you to join me in a fascinating exploration into yourself that is boundless, yet intimately close to your heart.
Throughout this series, you’ll get to explore a few more terms I want to clarify.
What I Mean by Harmonic and Essence
Harmonic
A harmonic isn’t just a sound or frequency—it’s a pattern of energies that naturally align and stabilize together as a coherent pattern of relational resonance. You can feel it when your thoughts, emotions, and environment move into resonance with the energy field in and around you. This may feel like a subtle tranquility, a softening of mental noise, or a quiet release in the body—like something inside you gently settled.
Imagine heading towards a room as a vociferous conflict is ending. Everyone stops speaking. Yet, you feel the dissonance wafting through the space. That’s frequency, energy in motion, vibrating through space. Frequency is how fast something spins, moves, or shakes. A hummingbird’s wings flap super fast—that’s a high frequency. A slow drumbeat? That’s low frequency.
Now imagine walking into a room where people are laughing together—not loudly, just naturally attuned to their compatibility and full rapport. You don’t need to hear their words to sense the harmony.
That’s a harmonic field.
Dissonance is raw energy. Harmony is energy in relationship—to intention, space, presence, and our highest nature.
Harmonics are patterns that come from repeating vibrations. When something vibrates in a steady and organized way, it creates harmony. Think of it like layers of sound that fit together perfectly. These patterns show up in music, in nature, in math, and even in innumerable patterns in your body.
This is why harmonics matter more than just sound alone. They’re not what you hear.
They’re what your whole being senses—often before your mind catches up.
A harmonic is a living field of awareness in which one’s inner tone (thoughts, emotions, and sensations) becomes attuned with a greater, unseen order. This is a mutual tuning—a reciprocity—between your tone and Essence.
Imagine you are standing at the edge of a vast canyon just before dawn. There is no wind, not even a birdsong or an echo—only profound, anticipatory stillness.
In that moment, before any sound arises, there is simply presence. This is raw, silent potential.
The stillness before tone becomes palpable. It is not yet the tone, the emanation, of a song, but it is not total silence either.
Your awareness knows motion is possible, yet it’s not in a hurry to create movement.
This is the space where frequency will emerge, but can’t yet be named… the field where truth is gathering before it takes form.
You are aware of it all as subtle underpinning of reality as you rest in stillness.
Essence
Essence refers to the primordial field of unity—pre-form, pre-identity, the non-personal origin of all frequencies, intelligences, and harmonic patterns. That is about as subtle, using language, as I can get because it is a sacred mystery.
Essence is not a being. It is not “higher” in a hierarchical sense because it is the undivided field from which all harmonics arise—as the stillness before any tones (emanations) arise.
I could describe Essence as:
That which breathes through everything without naming anything. It’s the pulse beneath existence.
The meditator in me is swooning yet I don’t want you to feel we are headed into a form of esotericism. Actually we are just getting real about Reality—underlying everything everywhere for everyone.
Essence is prior to activity, including thoughts or feelings.
It is not a being, not a thing, and not a hierarchy. Rather, it is the undivided field from which all harmonics arise—the stillness before any tones emerge.
Essence is the great stillness. It is that which breathes through everything without naming anything. It is the pulse beneath existence.
Going back to the canyon, consider Essence as the infinite space beyond the canyon—the origin of the landscape itself. Essence doesn’t send out its echo; it is the field that allows echo. It’s not waiting to make sound—it already holds all speech, all tones, and even all silence.
Essence is the subtle, felt presence of life prior to form or identity. It is not a thing—it is the ungraspable aliveness that underlies life itself.
Tone is what you choose to express—underlying songs, words, gestures, or even the rhythm of your breath as form.
Here’s something to practice to allow the terms you’ve just read to become more accessible in daily life:
Journal Reflection: Listening to the Echo Between Essence and Self
Have a journal or a digital notebook nearby
Begin in stillness.
Allow your body to settle into subtle awareness.
Breathe gently along your energetic central channel from head to belly—inhaling, let the breath gently drift from the head, through center of the chest, and into the belly—Reverse the flow for the exhale, letting the breath travel upward from the belly through the center of the chest and into the head. Allow the breath to flow in and out in this way, creating a quiet current of energy felt easily flowing up and down this central channel.
Let your breath be the bridge between waking reality where tone is expressed and the emerging awareness and pristine stillness of Essence.
When you are ready, let your breath return to its normal rhythm and ask yourself:
When I feel more deeply connected to Essence, what is the felt tone (emanation) of that connection?
(Is it quiet? expansive? intimate? vast? familiar?)Do I sense this connection as something within me… beyond me… or both?
(Let the answer arrive gently, open-heartedly, without needing to analyze anything)Where in my life do I sense Essence—what I cannot name, yet I can feel it holding everything?
How can I sense my awareness of a tone, a signal I could send into the field, that would elevate my life experience? (Write what that would feel or sound like.)
Integration
Close by writing this phrase in your own words:
“When I feel my tone, my signal to the infinite energy field, I notice…”
Let this phrase become a living inquiry—not a concept to grasp, but a tone to feel.
Before we move on, consider this:
The signal you sense from the energy field coming back to you— from in and all around you—isn’t asking you to do anything. It’s asking you to feel, to become aware of what is already quietly aligning inside you… so you can respond with presence rather than reactivity, and coherence rather than noise. You and the field can have a subtle, coherent, beneficial feedforward-feedback conversation.
When your tone feels clear and steady, you’ve tuned into more than yourself—you’ve tapped into a greater harmony. From here, it’s natural to explore the connection of your Harmonic—recall the room where people are laughing together, attuned to their compatibility and full rapport. Feel into the harmonic field they created together. And carve out time to become aware of your Essence—which includes everything, everywhere, all at once. You will become more connected to something vast, accessible and real. It’s more stable and life-enhancing than any dissonance sparked by chaos in the world around us.
Coming Next
Merging seen and unseen is a hot topic. Join me next time for more essential, often overlooked, aspects of yourself and Reality you won’t want to miss.
But first, I’ll give you time to linger in the mystery and potency of today’s post.
See you in a few days,
P.S. For parents who want to introduce “tone” to your children or who are interested in a homeschooling practice: this is a child-friendly “tone” exercise for (ages 5-8) that’s playful, physical, and uses imagination so the concept becomes something they can feel rather than just hear about tone.
For age 8 and older, check out the PDF below: revealing fun ways for kids to experience a clear and steady signal with the field.
“Pass the Feeling” Game
Purpose: Help children sense how tone is the “feeling” in their signal to the world.
What You Need:
A soft ball, stuffed animal, or pillow (something easy to pass)
How to Play:
Sit in a circle (family, friends, or just two people facing each other).
Choose a feeling (happy, calm, silly, excited, loving).
Hold the object and pretend to fill it with that feeling—smile if it’s happy, breathe softly if it’s calm, make a goofy face if it’s silly.
Pass the object to the next person while keeping that feeling strong inside you.
The next person guesses the tone (the feeling you were sending) and then chooses a new feeling for their turn.
After the game:
Explain that the “feeling” was the tone—just like in music, where two notes can be the same pitch but feel totally different depending on how they’re played. Tone is the flavor of your energy that others can sense.
